Scott RI17 Potato Tax Revenue Booklet Panes PLATE UL #'s 132981 & 132982 DURLAND

Condition: Complete set of known Durland listed plate # booklet panes of the rare Scott #RI17... Durland lists these but does not confirm that any positions have been definitively reported to date... These definitely confirm the existence of the plate #'s and positions... Both panes are solid with typical issues as follows: 1.

Typical glassine interleaving affixed to gum as virtually always seen... The plate #132982 must have been a 1st pane in the booklet as these always have the toning as shown as the pane being in contact with the booklet cover... Staple holes as always present...

These are unpriced in the Durland catalog as they are not reported as confirmed (they do not list a CV for any of these)... The previous student in this field had these a pair and i will offer as such... I would consider offers on each separately, but prefer to sell as a unit... Clearly a cornerstone if a wonderful exhibit or will suit the advanced revenue and plate # collectors well.. I have added a nice selection of many stamps to my store. I fondly remember going to stamp shows as a child, enjoying going through counter books where I could pick out the'ideal' stamp for me. The days where local stamp shows would allow this experience are few and far between.
